Research Policy
The college is committed to promote a research culture among Faculty and students as basic long term research provides the foundation for future development of the Institution. The research policy of the college aims to identify research areas of academic, practical and social relevance. The research policy has been framed to analyse, understand and effectively respond to all types of challenges posed in the pursuance of quality research.
Objectives
| Strengthen the institutional capacity for strategic, technical, and operational planning, budgeting, and control of all research activities of the college |
| Create and promote a culture of research among the faculty and students |
| Ensure quality, integrity, and ethics in research |
| Encourage and facilitate publication of research works in reputed International and National academic journals, and support presentation of research in academic events such as workshops, seminars, and conferences |
| Identify and inform researchers about appropriate research opportunities announced by academic, research, industry, or government organizations |
| Promote interdisciplinary research involving more than one domain of knowledge |
| Facilitate professional guidance, technical support, and recommendations for financial assistance |
| Identify and establish linkages, including MoUs, for long-term relationships with national and international research organizations to widen research opportunities for teachers and students |

Honesty
| Do not falsify, fabricate, plagiarize, mislead, or misrepresent (either in writing, through electronic/online means, or by any other means) |
| Do not deviate from accepted practices in the specific research discipline or those pertaining to particular scholarly communities |
| Obtain all relevant licenses, permits, permissions, and follow required protocols where necessary |
Transparency
| Share and communicate research methodology, data, and findings openly, responsibly, and accurately |
| Disclose and manage conflicts of interest transparently and ethically |
Fairness
| Treat fellow researchers and all others involved in the research process fairly and with respect |
| Appropriately reference and cite the work and ideas of others |
| Give proper credit and authorship recognition to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research |
Recordkeeping
Retain clear, accurate, secure and complete records of all research including research data and primary materials
Conflicts Of Interest
Disclose and manage any and all actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest;
Publication & Authorship
| Include all authors of research outputs. Authors are those, and only those, who have made a significant intellectual or scholarly contribution to the research and its outcomes, and who have agreed to be listed as authors. |
| Cite and acknowledge other work appropriately and accurately, and obtain permission for the use of unpublished material where required. |
| Acknowledge professional and technical staff, institutions, funders, and shared facilities that have contributed to the research in all published outcomes. |
Human Research Ethics
| Apply the ethical principles of research merit and integrity, justice, beneficence, and respect in the conduct of all human research. |
| Conduct research involving humans only with prior approval from the appropriate ethics review body and in accordance with established ethical standards. |
Animal Research Ethics
| Conduct research involving animals only after receiving approval from an appropriate animal ethics review body. |
| Act to minimize the impact on animals used in research and support the welfare and well-being of these animals at all times. |
Code of Ethics for Plagiarism Check
| It is the objective of the college to create awareness among faculty and students regarding the responsible conduct of research, study, project, assignment, thesis, and dissertation, and to prevent misconduct including plagiarism. |
| The college aims to develop systems to detect and prevent plagiarism through proper monitoring and review mechanisms. |
| The college uses well-known software such as Turnitin and other reliable online tools to conduct plagiarism checks on academic and research submissions. |
| The College shall take serious note of any lapses or misconduct in this regard and implement appropriate corrective measures. |
